1. Who we are & scope

PlaySmart India is an educational cricket analytics site (no betting, no gambling). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and IT Act, 2000.

2. Data we collect

• Visitor ID (ps_visitor localStorage, random) — to enforce 3 free live predictions.
• Usage — count of predictions, last match ID, pass expiry (stored in Cloudflare D1 usage).
• Payments — UTR you submit, amount, status (D1 payments) — verified manually, no auto-debit.
• Account (optional) — if you sign up: email, name, picture, salted PBKDF2 password hash (100k iterations). Google Sign-In uses ID token verified via oauth2.googleapis.com.
• No tracking — no third-party ads, no selling of data. Cricbuzz is fetched server-side to build predictions; your pasted link is not stored beyond match ID.

3. Cookies & storage

We use: ps_visitor (localStorage), ps_session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, 30 days) for login, and ps-theme. No advertising cookies. By continuing you consent to these essentials. You can clear them in browser settings — you’ll get a new visitor ID and fresh 3 trials.

4. Legal basis & purpose

Consent (sign-up, UTR submit) and legitimate interest (abuse prevention, rate limiting). Purpose: provide win-probability & fantasy tools, enforce free quota, verify passes.

5. Retention & security

Usage/payments kept until you request deletion or 12 months. Passwords are salted PBKDF2; sessions are HMAC-SHA256 signed (30-day TTL). All traffic over HTTPS (HSTS). CSP, X-Frame-Options DENY, nosniff.

6. Your rights (DPDP)

Access, correction, erasure, grievance. Contact: privacy@play-smart-india.pages.dev (operational mailbox). We respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account data by emailing from your registered email.

7. Children & age

Service is 18+. We do not knowingly collect from under-18s. Fantasy sports are skill-based in most states but age-gated 18+.
